Lake Gaston Soccer Association was formed in August of 2007. Our primary purpose is to offer opportunities for the youth of Southside Virginia to play recreational and competitive soccer. Our goal is to make soccer available year round through spring, fall, summer, and winter programs.

Seeing a need for a soccer complex (there were no fields in the area dedicated to the sport) LGSA began a mission to build such a facility. South Hill’s first professional size field is complete and players are already enjoying playing on the new field. 20 teams are scheduled for play during the 2009 spring season.

It is our aim to provide each player that joins our organization with an exceptional soccer experience that will only enhance their individual development. It is to this end that we encourage our coaches to complete coaches training through the VYSA (Virginia Youth Soccer Association). Trained coaches, dedicated parents, youngsters with a love for the sport of soccer all equal up to a top notch soccer experience.

It is our goal to continue adding to the faciliy with bleechers to seat over 1000; fencing to protect the field as well as to display sign from sponsors; lights for night play as well as concessions, restroom and club facilities. This 25 area complex will also contain a 2-3 acre memorial landscaped area to be enjoyed by all and it is to be a special place to remember our children whom we have lost far too early.
